Service:
The service at the restaurant is superb. I made orders that were enough to feed an entire village, and it all came in a time span of a mere 18 minutes; this is outstanding since there were at least four other families eating there. My order consisted of an appetizer, one soup, three main courses, and a dessert. I couldn’t help noticing how many times the waiter would come and refill my glass with water. The staff was very attentive to its customers and its service was marvelous.
5/5
Atmosphere:
The restaurant’s atmosphere was above average, but nothing out of the ordinary. The walls were decorated with Chinese portraits and the ceiling was overflowing with Asian designs. The food was served in Asian china; the plates were decorated with blue calligraphy and designs. The Asian lamps used for lighting also helped portray the Chinese atmosphere. The soft music in the background consisted of Chinese flutes and other instruments originating in the Far East. However, as I mentioned earlier, there were at least four other families dining at the restaurant. This resulted in the restaurant being very loud with chatter, especially since the size of the facility was relatively small. Another thing that I found odd was the lack of carpeting. Almost every other Chinese restaurant I have been to has facilitated red or green carpeting to add to the Asian ambiance. The protruding white floor was difficult to ignore. If this restaurant wants to outdo itself, it must install carpeting and soundproof the walls.
3.5/5
Presentation:
Every large table facilitated a variety of sauces, from soy sauce to chili sauce. I couldn’t wait to try every one of them on my food. When the food came, it was steaming hot. The aroma was wafting across the table, exciting my salivary glands. I could not wait to devour the delicacy the restaurant has prepared for me. The food was presented on Asian china, which further made it look authentic.
5/5
Food:
The spring rolls were superb; as soon as I finished them, I wanted a taste of the main course. At first, I wasn’t hungry, but when I bit into that spring roll I was overcome by starvation and anticipated the main course. The appetizer did not fail to strengthen appetite. The ice tea I ordered as a beverage was freshly brewed. The main courses were not any less spectacular. The chicken with cashew nuts was covered in oyster sauce, but not too much as to preserve the flavor of the chicken. The beef and broccoli was also very delightful. They were not stingy with the portions; I got my money’s worth. The food was truly authentic and the many Asians dining there was proof of that.
4.5/5
Pricing:
The pricing was adequate; the restaurant is fit for a middle class budget. The portions weren’t stingy. Expect to pay about 5BD per person. That should cover a main course and a drink.
4/5
This restaurant is probably the closest one could get to an authentic Chinese experience here in Bahrain. I was impressed by the service, décor, and food. Keep up the good work, Hong Kong!

I disagree, you obviously LACK the ability to check out the best or at least one of the best Chinese restaurants in Bahrain. Instead of reviewing this second rate restaurant, you should be reviewing Soie, currently located at the Sheraton hotel. Or China Garden located at the gulf hotel. I have been to Hong Kong Restaurant, and it is nothing compared to the other two I mentioned before... Plz if you are going to review a restaurant, dont review crappy ones...
... dude chill, its just a restaurant... if u are not happy with what they are doing, go make ur own restaurant review website
We appreciate your feed back, but we'd like for you to realize that we are just starting out. The restaurants you just mentioned will surely be reviewed eventually, we have only posted two reviews up till now. The next time we review an Asian restaurant, we'll see to it that it's one of the ones you mentioned. As for the quality of HK versus the quality of the other restaurants is a pending matter. The review was done by a fellow member of the website, and the both of us will decide on whether the other two really are better.
Dear anonymous,
We respect your opinion, however you fail to see that we are merely students and lack a budget. We do not have the time, or the money, to go to those fancier restaurants. If you truly want us to review better restaurants, be our guest and supply us with a budget. If you have nothing nice to say, give us some suggestions rather than posting a hate comment. If you have seen the blog, you would have noticed that we just started this project and asking for something extraordinary at this stage is dim-witted.
dear anonymous and Yusuf,
Your comments will be removed from this blog due to obscene remarks. Anonymous, we will take your comments into consideration next time we go to review a restaurant. Thank you

Anon, kindly keep your narrow-minded, moronic remarks to yourself. These students are reviewing restaurants quite professionally for teenagers and I'm sure they will take criticism that is not put forth in such a vulgar manner.
"Plz if you are going to review a restaurant, dont review crappy ones..."
This is the golden part of your post and the reason why these students would make better reviewers than you any day. They understand that they need a vast range of restaurants to review and whether they are "good" or not doesn't dictate their decision to review it. Personally, I don't like reading reviews that only comment on what the critic considers to be "good" restaurants.
Also, keep in mind that people generally like restaurants that don't cost the entire contents of your wallet to eat at. Do try to be more considerate and less pompous when commenting on their choice of restaurant.
To the BRR Team, I say this is a very good review. I admire the way it's written, and I'm sure your future reviews will be of even better quality. Keep up the good work; I'll be looking out for your latest endeavors in restaurant criticism.
Sandy, thank you so much for your support. I thought for a minute that my review up there wasn't any good. I'm curious as to how you found this page though, because I can't for the love of god make it pop up in google when you search "Bahrain Restaurant Reviews". Anyways, thanks for the comment. Constructive criticism is welcome. SPREAD THE WORD
I found it through a combination of pure dumb luck and this site: http://blogsearch.google.com/
I'm prone to accidentally finding gems like this. It's a gift.
As for your query about making your blog pop up in a Google search, I suggest you read this:

Yazeed: you have no idea what it was like before the comment moderating :)
Yum ;)
Wow... its rare stumbling on a website like this, really enjoyed the review ...cant wait for the next one.
Thanks Osama, we really appreciate it! Help us grow by sending the link to your friends please. We're not gonna get anywhere if no one spreads the word.
can you please review this great Filipino resteraunt in Manama, it's called Al- Shuaib
I heard that Shuaib place sucked. Turns out it was run by these kinky Indonesian people that urinated into the food.
Come on, yazeed. Younis can't help it if he likes that kind of food. He even uses that weird Indonesian garlic hot sauce on it.
I agree with the reviewer as well, excellent service and food. The manager and waitress were unusually polite, this level of service it's only seen on the far more expensive hotel restaurants.
Highly recommended if you like Chinese food in a proper setting.
Ou f*k off mate
You're a great reviewer!
